SB 722 is scheduled for hearing Wednesday, March 19th. This bill is a step toward making housing more affordable, stable, and accessible for all. We need your voice to support this important legislation! SB 722 aims to:
Prohibit Rent-Setting Software: Bans certain software tools that automate rent rates and occupancy limits, ensuring rent increases are made with more care, transparency, and fairness.
Reduce the Exemption for New Dwelling Units: Shortens the period that new rental units are exempt from rent control, ensuring that tenants aren't gouged on rent.
